The single biggest mistake I see first-time operators make

Mine is launching with an empty site and no plan for the cold start problem. A dating site with no members is worthless to the first member who joins, so you have to solve liquidity before you spend heavily on traffic. What is the mistake you wish someone had talked you out of before your first launch?
